CAMPAIGN GOALS
Atera provides remote-first IT management software for small and medium IT service providers. After working with multiple link building vendors and experiencing some poor results, Atera came to Page One Power because of our reputation and the fact that we could support content creation for them.
THE STRATEGY
To run a successful campaign, Page One Power thoroughly researched Atera’s industry, which involved highly technical terms. This understanding empowered Page One Power to create relevant, linkable content that fueled link acquisition and increased search rankings.
We identified pages already fully optimized for terms like “RMM software.” These pages were worthy of ranking, and we built links to achieve these rankings.
We identified numerous existing link opportunities. We began by targeting existing content and then transitioned to new content once it was live. This created ongoing sustainable link building, which would fuel a long-term partnership.
We created five linkable articles and one long-form guide. The main goal was to acquire high-quality links and drive link equity to the target pages via internal links.
The linkable content covered top-funnel topics that were still relevant to the client’s brand. These pieces earned backlinks and funneled link equity to other relevant pages via internal linking. These internal links helped boost the authority and visibility of converting pages.
While we did not create keyword-focused content for Atera, we ensured each relevant page was internally linked to the converting pages via keyword-rich anchor text. This strategy helps send keyword signals to Google to understand a page's topic.
After the content was published, we started on link acquisition. Within only four months of publishing content, P1P-created content accounted for 8% of monthly organic blog traffic.

THE RESULTS
Atera saw their rankings for their important transactional keywords increase, on average, by 18 positions. Page One Power also helped Atera move from outside the top 100 to position two for an important, high-volume definitional keyword.
According to Google Search Console, the content that Page One Power created for Atera generated over 43,000 impressions in organic search and earned 166 clicks to Atera's website. These numbers become even more impressive when considering that these pages are part of a linkable content strategy. The primary goal isn't organic traffic but rather to acquire relevant backlinks for the domain.
