Results: We secured 60 links over the course of a 12 month project. These links drove a 689% increase in organic traffic to ABRTS’ website. ABRTS was heavily invested in paid search, but discontinued that investment by month 6 of this project, when organic traffic began to overtake paid traffic.

The client also wanted to improve keyword rankings for three specific location pages, which at the onset of the project had few links pointing at them and low visibility. These pages were struggling to make substantial gains in terms of organic traffic based off citation and NAP (name, address, and phone number) listings alone.
ABTRS’ campaign faced unique challenges because ABTRS lacked the types of pages that regularly attract links. Page One Power developed a strategy to create onsite content for ABTRS to engage their audience and support SEO goals. This content attracted organic traffic and links, driving keyword improvements for target pages and increasing organic traffic overall.
Page One Power also targeted relevant resource page and directory link prospects to drive keyword rankings for ABTRS’ goal pages. Links proved to be the difference in pushing ABTRS’ location pages higher in the rankings.
One of ABTRS’ primary goals was to grow their total organic traffic, and they experienced tremendous growth over the duration of their 12 month campaign.
When ABTRS’ project launched in May of 2017, their monthly organic traffic was 1,761. By the end of April 2018, ABTRS’ monthly traffic had exploded to 13,893. This reflected an overall increase in organic traffic of 689%!
This tremendous growth in organic traffic is attributable to the worthwhile links we secured month over month, and it was only possible because ABTRS invested in a long-term campaign. If ABTRS had discontinued services after July (3 months) they would have only seen a 25% increase in organic traffic. ABTRS’ project demonstrates what sustained, targeted link building can achieve.
At the onset of ABTRS’ campaign, the client set a goal of increasing visits to key geo-specific location pages for their treatment centers. As a provider of drug and alcohol treatment, it’s important for ABTRS to drive relevant traffic to their corresponding location pages and, subsequently, patients to their physical locations and facilities. One of ABTRS’ primary goals was to improve keyword rankings for these pages and increase traffic.
By the end of the project, these pages had grown — on average — by 90 more monthly pageviews. Overall, these pages gained 5 new top-20 keywords as well.
A significant amount of ABTRS’ growth was to a specific page — “Top 10 Reasons Why People Abuse Drugs.” Over the course of ABTRS’ project, monthly traffic to this page grew from 475 to 13,768 (+2,798%).
This tremendous growth can be directly attributed to the 8 links Page One Power secured to this important page. This is a perfect example of how effective link building can be when worthwhile links are secured and point to an optimized, quality page that serves searcher intent well.
Over the course of a 12 month campaign we developed onsite content (5 pages) for ABTRS and secured 64 relevant backlinks. Over the 12 months this averaged out to just over 15 links per quarter which met (and slightly exceeded) ABTRS’ link targets for the project.
These links came from a diverse strategy and were secured via multiple link building tactics, including: content link building, resource link building, and local citation building.
ABTRS contracted Page One Power for onsite content development. Page One Power created 5 pieces of strategic content for ABTRS which supported link building and authority building for the brand.
The content created by Page One Power targeted the top of ABTRS’ marketing funnel, capturing the attention of people interested in learning more about addiction and potential treatment options. This content also directly impacted keyword rankings, helping ABTRS begin to rank for terms they previously didn’t rank for.
Page One Power content attracted 444 organic pageviews and 695 total pageviews. This content is still live on ABTRS’ site and continues to attract and engage visitors.
